Skiing in Morocco, the star sport of the Moroccan winter
Morocco is the perfect destination for an adventurous holiday! Over the summer months it is full of people who come here from all over the world to practice water sport activities, when in winter Morocco offers spectacular places for winter sport activities such as the ski slopes.
Skiing in Morocco:
Ski resort Oukaïmeden
It is the largest ski slope in Africa, located 75 kilometers from the city of Marrakech, in the High Atlas. Its height varies between 2219 and 3268 meters. Its 18 tracks and total of 20 kilometers are divided into 7 tracks of low difficulty, 8 of intermediate difficulty and 5 of high difficulty. There is 1 chairlift and 6 ski lifts available to all visitors. A total of 4000 travelers per hour can be traced on this track that is not only chosen by lovers of winter sports but also by those who want to enjoy the views. It also has a winter center for local hikers and outsiders.
Michlifen Ski Station
Smaller than the previous one but with an extraordinary visual charm. Small ski trails among the cedar forests are located on what was a crater. Although skiing is the winter sport par excellence in Morocco, other other snow related sports can also be practiced in some of its tracks. The magic of this country is so surprising that just a few kilometers from the snow-white mountains you will encounter the immensity of its desert. This contrast is what makes Morocco one of the favorite places to visit.
