Dragon Island, an inhospitable landscape in Dakhla
The Atlantic coast of Morocco stands out for the great beauty of its landscapes. The name of this island located in the middle of Dakhla Bay owes its name to the shape of its outline seen from above, as it looks like a dragon. Among the elements that make it worthy of being visited we find a warm water bath, clay baths and that catamaran excursion that we mentioned before that will offer you spectacular landscapes of the coast of Dakhla and Dragon Island.
Walking through this place on foot is a unique experience that you cannot skip if you visit the Dakhla area. You can feel for a moment in a scene of “Lost”, swim in the waters that surround it, climb its high dunes and, above all, relax in this corner of Morocco.
If you decide to explore the area for a few days, there are multiple hotels to stay in Dakhla and from which to find excursions to get into Dragon Island. Other activities in the area also include those that require wind such as kitesurfing or windsurfing, and others that can be done at any time of the year or weather conditions such as kayaking, or descending the White Dune. Also in this area you will find multiple yoga centers and a pleasant SPA to enjoy the most typical hamman or a massage after a day of adventures.
