Private Desert Tour from Fez

DAY 1: FEZ

Reception at the airport. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2: FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – ERFOUD

After a hotel pick up, we will head to Merzouga by crossing the Middle Atlas, a mountain range which extends 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northwest of the country. On our way we will pass through towns like Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” due to the architecture of its houses, and Azrou, one of the most famous Berber cities in Morocco.

We will cross the Valley and the Ziz Gorges, later to pass through Midelt, and we will spend the night in Erfoud.

DAY 3: ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

This day we will enjoy the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara. We will enter the desert to visit nomadic villages, we will see oases, and we will ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. By following the route, we will visit the famous village of Khamlia and the gnawa tribe, descendants of the slaves that arrived from Africa, and we will enjoy their folk music. Once in Merzouga we will experience a camel ride towards the jaimas, where we will spend a night. Here, in the silence of the desert, we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in Morocco.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDDLE ATLAS – FES

The day will begin with an unforgettable landscape: the sunrise in the desert. After watching the sunrise, we will go on camels back to the hotel to have breakfast. On our way back to Fez we will pass through Tafilalt, Rissani (origin of the Alauí dynasty and former capital of the sultans Alauís), Azrou and Ifrane.

In the Azrou National Park we will stop at the monkey forest, where we will have a possibility to observe them in their natural habitat and even feed them.

DAY 5: FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport. Farewell from the staff and end of our services.
