3 Days Private Desert Tour from Fez

After breakfast, the trip will begin with the pick-up from your hotel or riad at 8 am, after that we will head towards Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas, a mountain range that extends above 350 kms from southwest to northeast of the country.

On our way we will pass by villages like Ifrane, also known as “Little Switzerland” for its architecture, one of the most famous berber cities of the country. You will go through the Ziz Gorges, sculped in volcanic rock and you will get to see the magnificent view of the Middle Atlas plateau.

We’ll cross the Ziz Valley and pass by more villages like Midelt or Erfoud, spending the first night there.

Beginning the second day, we’ll head to Merzouga. This famous village will be useful as a key point to prepare the next activity, leaving our stuff in a hotel. With the help of the 4×4, we’ll enjoy the desert visiting nomad villages, going to the oasis and riding by the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi at night.

We’ll visit the Khamlia village where the gnawas live, the descendants of the African slaves, to enjoy their folkloric music that mimics the sound of chains.

At sunset, we will go for a camel ride right before a dinner in the desert and go to sleep in an authentic nomad tent. The tents are perfectly equipped for a comfortable night in the desert.

We will get up early so we can see the sunrise in the desert while enjoying a breakfast and a Moroccan tea. When finished, we’ll ride the camels back to the hotel, have a shower and prepare for the last day. When finished we will head back to Fez while you get to enjoy the stunning views of the landscape that surrounds you. We’ll pass by villages like Tafilalt, Rissani, Azrou or Ifrane. We will stop at Azrou to have lunch and go to the monkey cedar forest, where you can watch over the monkeys or even feed them. We’ll arrive at Fez around sunset.

Back in Fez you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
