Tangier Private Tour

Quick Details

Operational Days: Daily
Meeting Point: We pick you up from your hotel or port in Tangier
Starting time: 09:00 am or 02:00 pm
Duration: 8 hours

Between the mountain and the sea, Tangier melts as a paradise with the deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the greenish-blue of the Mediterranean Sea. In fact, the city is a crossroads of seas and continents, something that makes Tangier indefinable.
We will start the day with a pick-up at the hotel or the port to take a tour of the most important places of the city.
We will walk through Pasteur, the arterial street of the city, placed in the French neighbourhood, where we will find the famous Paris Cafe. Besides, we will visit the Spanish neighbourhood and San Francisco neighbourhood, known as the American zone or ‘Little California’.
Later on we will continue through Marchan, where we will enjoy the view of the Real Palacesurrounded by gardens and old colonial houses like the one of the billionaire Forbes. At the end of this neighbourhood, we will discover a really exclusive area, the Old English Colony, full of palaces that belong to celebrities or kings like Mohammed VI. Here, in the Perdicaris Castle, we will make a stop in the viewpoint of its park to make some photos.
Going to the Mount of Tangier, we will visit the Caves of Hercules, after which we will see the sight that Cape Spartel offers, showing the union between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and the separation between Europe and Africa, caused by Hercules according to the legend.
A worthwhile experience will be to take a walk along the Atlantic coast, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a camel ride.
Furthermore, we will be impregnated again by the moroccan culture in our visit to the Kasbah, the authentic soul of the city, and the Medina, where we will have a look to the activity and the lifestyle of the city. Additionally, inside the Medina, we will visit the Mendoubia Gardens, whose peace makes the difference with the rest of the souks, and the Old Sultan´s Palace, which is inside them.
Afterwards, we will visit the Antique and Moroccan Art Kasbah Museum and we will walk through the narrow streets of the Medina´s jewish area, visiting the Old Synagogue and the jewish cementery.
Our tour will finish in the American Consulate, where we will see the literary work of some American writers that came to Tangier, such as Paul Bowles.
However, if you want to remember this day as an unforgettable day, drinking tea in one of the cafes of the Small Souk, one meeting point that has been a leisure area during all its history, can be the best way to finish your stay in Tangier.
