Le Jardin Secret and the Medina Museums Private Tour

In this private tour we will discover one of the most hidden parts of Marrakech. Le Jardin Secret or Secret Garden, recently opened to the general public, is one of the most relaxed places in the Medina, known for its chaos and hustle.

We’ll pick you up at your hotel or riad or meet at the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and we will go towards the Dar Si Said museum, town’s oldest museum and the one with the most exhibits on display. The so called museum of Moroccan arts is not only worth to visit for its displays, but for the complex itself, a piece of architecture art.

We’ll have the opportunity to discover the Medina with a dedicated guide to walk with us along the way. There is no need for guesswork and you’ll even receive tips on local food and tips only locals know. In our way to our next stop we will walk by different museums like the artisanry Boucharouite museum or the Heritage museum that shows the culture that defines the country. These two are not programmed stops but it can be arranged if the clients choose to do so.

Our next stop is the Orientalist museum, that offers an exclusive collection of orientalist paintings (the likes of Delacroix, Majorelle or Bertuchi) and old pieces of Moroccan art too. The building itself it’s a Saadian Riad from the 17th century. There is a rooftop from where you can get an exclusive panoramic view of the city and the Atlas Mountains.

We will make our way to the Jardin Secret, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a nice relaxing place with little to no tourists. You can have a tea while hearing water in this ArabAndalusian garden. Le Jardin Secret has also a big tower from where you can see the always busy Medina from above.

Our last stop is a very unknown but precious one, Dar el Bacha museum, located in the famous street that shares its name, full of original shops. In the museum you will find a huge palace full of examples of Moroccan architecture and with different displays that change over time, showing the variety of the local culture.
